African Vision of Hope and M1 Bank once again partnered for an amazing evening of testimony of lives transformed, children delivered from poverty, equipped with education, dignity, and love.
African Vision of Hope – Graduates
African Vision of Hope is committed to bringing lasting solutions to children and families living in extreme poverty. They confront the root causes of poverty. AVH provides opportunities to be educated, grow up healthy, develop leadership and economic skills.
Over 22 years ago, a ripple was started. From one rented room in a tavern to 6 schools across Zambia. Since then they have brought incredible waves of change in the lives of thousands of Zambians. Generations have been impacted and poverty has been fought head-on.
In 2003, AVH had 23 students, 1 classroom, and served 5,000 meals a year. Last year, all 6 schools totaled 4,680 students in attendance and served over 1,086,792 meals.
This year, 3,550 vulnerable children are receiving a Christ centered education because of donors. Of course, without these schools students in the program would never be able to step foot in a classroom. Meanwhile, AVH completed 12 new classrooms to make room for 400 more children. There are required school fees in Zambia leaving the most vulnerable and orphaned without the opportunity to end the cycle of poverty. Through education, their lives are transformed from despair to hope, from forsaken to loved, and from powerless to leader. The African Vision of Hope staff leads with integrity, wisdom, and yearning to disciple students to become g-dly leaders for Africa.
