M1 Bank was privileged to donate the entry bench at our new state of the art St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum.
Now more than ever educating our community on #NEVERAGAIN is critical. We must ensure the future of a vibrant jewish state and people. St. Louis has a strong Zionist history. At the 1904 World’s Fair, the Zionist flag was raised at the palace of nations, signifying a turning point after Herzl’s death in the hope of a unified Jewish people returning to their Land. About the Museum
The Museum fulfills their mission through the exhibition, preservation, and interpretation of its collections. Additionally they utilizie education programs and initiatives that promote justice and equality.
Survivors remain the heart of the Museum. Their donations of precious family photos, official documents, and heirlooms personalize history and enrich the experience of visitors. Most importantly, survivors share their stories with guests, especially students on school field trips. As the Holocaust recedes further into history, relatives of survivors continue that tradition by sharing the experiences of their ancestors. Dozens of local survivors recorded their histories, which remain a rich trove of primary history.
The Museum has been made possible in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
